Everybody’s Favorite Wheel Shop

When I was in my late teens and early 20s, I was friends with a bunch of guys whose sole purpose in life was to dump money into their cars. I had a hot little car, too — a 1981 Nissan 280ZX — and I did a number of things to it, such as putting on aftermarket intake and exhaust systems and replacing its stock wheels.
The guys had a favorite wheel shop — the place where pretty much everyone got their wheels, because the selection was so much better than anywhere else. You could find everything from Mercedes wheels to wheels for the hot little imports. They also had all the top brands, such as TSW wheels, but what was really cool was that they also had used wheels — for those of us who couldn’t afford to spend a whole lot on wheels for our car.
Since I had the old-fashioned 4-lug pattern, instead of the 5-lug pattern that most modern cars have, this wheel shop was my only option — nowhere else sold wheels for my car. Nowadays, the Internet has changed that — you can find almost anything online, and as a result the selection is better than you could ever find in a brick-and-mortar store. So if you are looking for something specific, such as staggered wheels, you’ll probably want to look online first!
