Our Days in Banff

Wow. I did way too much last week. I booked one of those Canada vacation packages and the entire trip was like non-stop work. I had to climb things, walk places, run, skip, hop, jump and whatever other physical activities I could think of. I barely got any sleep because I always had something I had to be doing. For example, all of the friends I stayed with really wanted to a Lake Louise vacation, so they wanted to do some swimming every morning and skinny dipping every night.

During the day, however, it is not as if we were resting. Part of this Banff vacation package was a hiking and climbing aspect. So our day went like this:

Woke up every morning with a hangover
Went swimming with clothes on
Hiking, walking, travelling and other activities that are hard on your body
Food
Skinny Dipping and drinking
Asleep at 3 AM
Wake up the next morning with a hangover and start the whole day over.

It was fun, don’t get me wrong. But man was it a lot of work. It was like every day was its own separate chore, and by the time I got back all I wanted to do was fall asleep in a bathtub.
